🚨HUGE NEWS ON THE SEA OF THIEVES🚨Season 10 has arrived at last and the Sea Dogs have RETURNED!
A while back, I wrote an article called "Remember the Sea Dogs." In it, I suggested that the Sea Dogs might return as an Adventure mode faction. Season 10's Guilds, which allow you to create your own trading company, have made my dream of restoring the Sea Dogs possible.
So watch out! Starting today (November 1st), 600 days after DeMarco closed the Arena, the Sea Dogs are back on the Sea of Thieves, now in Adventure mode!

1. Branding! I must know about the branding! Tell me about the branding!
Certainly!
Our official name is Ye Olde Sea Dogs! We wanted to distinguish ourselves from DeMarco's original "Sea Dogs" and also incorporate our sense of nostalgia... and our silliness!
Our motto is "Adventure Awaits." We thought this was perfect, since we are the Adventure version of the original Arena Sea Dogs, whose motto was "Glory Awaits."
Our crest is the legendary Good Boy Kato himself, surrounded by images of X-marks-the-spot, silver coins, buried chests, a sloop, and a galleon, all reminders of our roots in Arena mode.

2. Oh! So you're just another one of those newfangled Guilds. What makes your Guild different from all the others?
I'm glad you asked! There are many unique things about Ye Olde Sea Dogs! Here's a sample!

3. Wait! Are you saying Arena is back?
No, I am not! Our guild is the Adventure version of the "Sea Dogs" of Arena days.
Although we plan to occasionally set up events for our members to compete with each other directly on the high seas, most of our day-to-day activities will be in the form of PVP-centered Challenges & Commendations for our members to complete together or on their own in adventure mode.
There will be two challenges each month, and players will have about two weeks to complete each of them. Commendations are longer term goals for members to work through—some fun, some silly, and some ridiculously challenging or even impossible unless you are a true pirate legend (or just very lucky)!
We reward players who complete these challenges and commendations with Silver. As you accumulate silver, you earn new reputation and ranks within the guild. All for fun (and bragging rights!) of course! 😆
4. That sounds kind of neat... But I'm already in two other guilds. I don't think I'll have time for a third. Please tell me about your ship chronicle audit policy and weekly play time quotas.
Audits? Quotas? We have no idea what you are talking about, but maybe that's why we only attract 2% of your play time.
Some are! And some Merchants are toxic, too! Ye Olde Sea Dogs is a guild of friendly, positive, and fun-loving pirates who enjoy epic naval battles and a hearty laugh upon the Sea of Thieves!
Of course! In Season 10, the vibrant Sea Dog rowboats can once again be found upon the Seas, and we plan to create many challenges and commendations for Rowboating Sea Dogs!
